These blogs will pop up after every season finale of 30&Nerdy's bonus series, The Road So Far. We will have words from both Tyler Mac and Logan to sum up the good, the bad, and the ugly of Supernatural.
"I think he wants us to pick up where he left off. You know, saving people, hunting things. The family business."
Supernatural quickly became my favorite show of the modern era after being introduced to it by my buddy Jordan. Now, admittedly, I did not start watching it day one on its debut. At the time it came out, I wasn't a big TV watcher. I was a Junior in high school, busy with theatre, video games, and really didn't watch television. Flash forward to 2011, I am doing professional theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN. Jordan, a fellow cast mate and roommate of mine, asked if I had watched the show Supernatural. I said I had seen an episode on TV one time, but haven't been able to watch it. So he gets out his DVD's and away we went. Within the month, I had caught up to where they were on live TV. After that, I was hooked. I never missed an episode. Since then; I have tried and succeeded, for the most part, at getting a lot of people to start watching it. After we both realized we talked about it so much, Logan and I decided to start talking about it on 30&Nerdy with bonus episodes called The Road So Far. Let's get to Season 1!
Season 1 is about monster hunting, sure, but it's about more than that. It's about family, and the lengths a family will go to for each other. Sam and Dean reminded me so much of my brother and me, especially in the first few seasons. No matter if it was their stance on things or their estranged feelings sometimes, it opened my eyes to my own relationships. In Season 1, the main arch is all about two brothers trying to find their Dad, hunt the thing that killed their mom, reconnect, and save individuals along the way. Some of these episodes are like watching quality horror movies in less than an hours time. You get so much character development and story in just one season; it's hard not to get hooked. Oh and i mean come on, monsters, ghosts, vampires, demons...what's not to love? Especially, if you love the paranormal and horror genre. In my opinion, you can easily skip the episodes, Bugs and Benders, but i would also recommend watching them if you want the full scope. This season sees so many ups, downs, and all around hear warming family moments snuck into a dark / fantasy / horror mashup of a show. I highly recommend this show!

"To me, this show is about family. This show is about the bond these brothers have together and what they're willing to do to protect one another and their family. From looking behind the curtain of what it takes and what goes into being a hunter, to finding out that monsters aren't the only things that go bump in the night...there's also demons!"
